How do they get to my site?Blue Dwell Units are delivered to your site using a specialized method. These units are constructed with the floor system mounted on 4x4 skids. Our expert shed moving partners will transport them to your location on a trailer. They will then use Mule shed moving machines to carefully position the unit into place. This approach is designed to minimize or even eliminate damage to your lawn during the delivery and placement process.

What site preparation is needed? To prepare your site for a Blue Dwell Unit, consider the following options: Cement Slab: The best foundation for the unit is a cement slab. This provides a stable and durable base for the unit. Gravel Foundation: Alternatively, you can opt for a gravel foundation. This can be a more cost-effective choice and still provides a suitable base for the unit. Electrical Installation: If you plan to have electrical wiring in your unit, you can have an electrician run the necessary electrical lines to the unit. Blue Dwell Units come prewired with a disconnect system, making it easy for the electrician to connect the unit to the power source. By preparing your site with one of these foundation options and ensuring that electrical wiring is available, you'll be ready to accommodate your Blue Dwell Unit.

Do I need special permits?Regarding permits for Blue Dwell Units, typically, permits are not required for units that are under 200 square feet in most locations. Some areas may have size restrictions and architectural guidelines to maintain the appearance of existing houses. When needed, Blue Dwell offers a comprehensive inspection process, similar to what is done when building a house. Before committing to a Blue Dwell Unit, it's advisable to research local zoning and building regulations, as well as any neighborhood-specific rules. Blue Dwell can assist you in navigating this process and provide guidance to ensure that your unit complies with all local requirements and guidelines.
